WINDMAGEDDON???? Our TV Service Remained Intact!

While last Friday’s derecho storm left many of us sweltering in the dark without any meadc stormns to phone or email, The Capitol Connection TV transmit system remained intact.  Our faithful engineers were able to check and monitor the signals immediately reporting that everything was working just fine.  Due to the strong winds and lightening, however, some buildings may have experienced damage to the roof equipment resulting in a loss of the individual signal to those properties.  With the 4th of July falling in the middle of the week, we suspect many of our customers had already arranged time off and have not yet checked their service.   We have reached out to customers in some of our larger buildings and have so far not found any problems.  We have also, however, heard from a handful of customers in other buildings who report a loss of signal and we have sent technicians out to repair the damage.

In anticipation of your needs, The Capitol Connection has arranged to have technicians on stand-by for the week of July 9th to deal specifically with this potential problem. We encourage you to please check your televisions at your earliest convenience to verify that everything is working as it should.  If you are not receiving a signal the best way to contact us is via email at capcon@gmu.edu, alternatively you can call us at 703-993-3100. Please be sure to include your name and contact information, the name of your company, organization or agency, and the building address.  If everything is alright there is no need to get in touch with us.  Note that if you are experiencing a problem due to roof equipment every other customer in your building will have the same issue and if you have more than one TV none of them will work.  Customers with multiple televisions where only one is experiencing problems, should contact us as well, but know that the disruption is not due to a building wide issue.
